This arrangement of the Nat King Cole hit comes as close to the original as you can get. The basic melody is relatively simple and can be played at nearly any pace and still sound great. For students, its a great way to begin exploring some of the elements of jazz and swing. The most challenging part is the pairing of ten consecutive matching triplets which require significant dexterity and phrasing and offer a great way for students to learn the techniques of phrasing and velocity. All in all, its a great song for experienced players to let loose and swing and for students to begin stretching their wings.
