The Hanging Tree
I dont particularly like some of the right hand tied notes...especially for a beginner student...just keeping the melody simple and using the left hand notes as written would have been better I think.

The Hanging Tree
Great for folks who need an easy piano arrangement. It takes a bit of time to get it to sound like the "real" version but its definitely the song. The left hand arrangement could be stronger but again, its a nice easy piano arrangement.

This is not a beginner arrangement!
I bought this for my early intermediate student (Grade 1 Piano) and it was very difficult. The sample page is deceiving - The other pages are much more difficult than the first page. Very large intervals (up to a 10th) for small hands to play, difficult rhythms, multiple voices - More suited to a Grade 5/6 level. The left hand is very average sounding as well - mostly chords which gives the song an almost robotic feel.
