One of the most timeless Baroque pieces, this piece was forgotten about for centuries after it was written. It only came back into popularity when a chamber orchestra released a recording in the 1960s. Since the 1980s, this has been most commonly performed at weddings. This piano solo arrangement begins simply with the popular chord progression, then it keeps adding in more embellishments until it reaches a beautiful peak towards the end.

I used MusicNotes for the first time and found everything I wanted. The printing quality is great. The sampling is perfect. Love to listen to the recording, too. Its a little computerized but you get the drift.

I really enjoy Musicnotes because it gives me the opportunity to choose different keys and different arrangements. Canon in D was this way. I had a wedding to do and not a long of time to prepare so I was able to view several arrangements and come up with the one that would work and sound good in a short amount of time. Thank you Musicnotes.

The familiarity of this piece, perhaps due in part with its overusage in commercials, cannot spoil the joy I feel when I play it. It is a gentle, beautiful reminder of times past. That joy is not diminished by the fact that my enthusiasm far exceeds my current skill level. Arrangements like this one are a great source of joy, I am learning several. it is also wonderful to know that there are many pieces for me to play as my skill increases. Many thanks!

I own and have played several versions of Pachelbels "Canon in D" and this is one of my favorites! It included some of my favorite variations on the theme but also included some new ones that were delightful to play.
