Kalinnikov was born into a poor police family in 1866 and passed away at the young age of only 34. He was recognized by Tchaikovsky as a scholarly talent at a young age, but he developed tuberculosis and lived in poverty for the rest of his life. I arranged his beautiful piano solo for Flute trio.
