Position Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and creative Marketing Intern to support our digital sheet music marketing team. This part-time position is ideal for a Nashville-based college student passionate about music, marketing, and digital content creation. The intern will play a crucial role in developing and executing our social media strategy, creating engaging content, and supporting key marketing initiatives.

Role Responsibilities

Content & Social Media Support

  • Craft compelling social media posts that resonate with our music-loving audience
  • Create original, engaging content for multiple social media platforms
  • Schedule and publish content consistently across social channels and blog
  • Monitor social media engagement and compile detailed performance reports
  • Manage community interactions and provide responsive social media customer support
  • Conduct ongoing research on social media trends and competitor activities
  • Provide technical support for podcast and TikTok initiatives, including video uploads and partner outreach

Market & Competitor Research

  • Conduct comprehensive research on industry trends in digital music publishing
  • Analyze competitors' marketing strategies and identify potential opportunities
  • Map audience behaviors, preferences, and emerging market segments
  • Identify and research potential strategic partnerships and influencer collaborations

Project Management Support

  • Assist marketing team with event logistics and coordination
  • Support special marketing projects and initiatives as needed

Required Education

  • Currently enrolled undergraduate student in Nashville
  • Pursuing degree in Marketing, Business, Music Business, Communications, or related field

Required Experience

  • Demonstrated experience managing social media accounts
  • Proven ability to create engaging digital content
  • Basic understanding of social media analytics and reporting
  • Experience with content scheduling tools preferred

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong creative and analytical thinking capabilities
  • Proficiency in major social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook)
  • Basic graphic design and video editing skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a team environment
  • Quick learner with a proactive and adaptable approach
  • Passion for music and digital media

Required Licenses and Certifications

  • None required; however, social media marketing certifications are a plus

Physical Requirements and Work Environment

  • Part-time position (up to 20 hours per week)
  • Hybrid work model with flexibility between office and remote work
  • Occasional in-person events and meetings
  • Requires prolonged periods of computer use
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds occasionally
