Too many unneeded accidentals make this very difficult to read
1/23/2023 11:53:47 AMWhile this is a beautiful arrangement, it is extremely difficult to read because there are unnecessary accidentals in almost every measure. When I am playing in the key of G, I know that F is sharp, and all other notes are not sharp unless they are marked. So when I see a natural sign after crossing a measure bar, I expect it to be on an F and not on other notes. These extra "courtesy" accidentals are disruptive and they make this piece difficult to read. Good luck trudging through the REAL accidentals and those that are just there to clutter up the page. What a shame, because the arrangement is actually quite lovely for an accomplished pianist. When I asked Musicnotes to fix this, they replied that although they agree with me, they will respect the original publishers overzealous approach (from the 1950s). Disappointing.
