A Classic Song
9/8/2012 9:52:32 AMI was pleased to perform this song in one of my Middle School chorus concerts. All my students quickly connected to the lyrics and the day of the concert, a lot of the teachers took a pleasant trip to the past. Some of them commented about their High School days while listening to this hit song. The administrators and audience in general (especially older people) were very excited that their children were learning about music like this song. It was a fun song to learn and to perform and the score was clearly transcribed in an easy to play arrangement. The only thing I would suggest would be to write a version with harmonies. It took me a couple of hours to come up with them but since the chords were clearly stated in the score, I figured it out pretty soon. I highly recommend this song for any Middle School Chorus of a beginning to intermediate level.
