I love the arrangement and I have enjoyed learning to play the song. It was a bit of a challenge which is good, that is how I learn.

This piece of music, I would give some of my beginner students. It's really easy. Enjoy this music

Fingering Important

6/6/2008 7:09:36 AM

This is a charming rendition of the song and starts out sweetly right from the beginning. I think it's really important to follow the suggested fingering; it makes the flow much smoother and pleasant to listen to. The second note in the first measure should be the third finger. I think that's the only place where the numbering needed wasn't provided. In the tenth measure on the second page, I drop the g note in the right hand to make it sound less dissonant. Overall, I think it is a charming piece. It sounds simple and choppy if you do not follow the fingering.

You are right that fingering is always important, and not too be a "know it all" , just being helpful, but you really should use the second finger on the second note of the left hand on that first measure - the fifth between octave notes is usually best played that way.
